Active folders are folders in the Knowledge Network where automatic searches are set up. If, for example, a folder is created for saving monitoring profiles (SDI, Alert), newly found patents will be added to the folder after the weekly database update. When using these active folders, you can also set up automatic notifications when patents are evaluated by colleagues. This type of active folder is labelled with a magnifying glass icon.

Another type of active folders is the folder used for monitoring of legal status and changes in the family, labelled with a paragraph icon. By using pre-defined or individually created filters, you and selected users are notified with regard to changes in the family and the legal status.
