What is the Knowledge Network used for?
The Knowledge Network is a folder tree structure with different folder types which enables the collaboration of different persons/ user groups/ departments at different locations. A rights management determines which folders can be viewed or changed by which user. This way you are also able to manage which users are able to see or edit specific comments.
Another important feature are active folders. These folders enable the automation of specific tasks. An active folder is, for example, a folder equipped with a monitoring profile (Alert, SDI). If a search (search profile) delivers results, they are automatically assigned to this folder. This type of folder can be identified by a magnifying glass symbol. Other active folders are folders used for legal status monitoring. Patents located in this type of folder automatically check for defined changes in legal status.
